Pharmacist's Provider Status: What's Next?

APhA- ASP chapter at MCPHS Boston organized an event talking about the recent provider status bill passed in the state of MA. The discussion included what provider status means for pharmacists, how it affects the scope of practice, and what can student pharmacists and pharmacists do to advocate for our profession.

Thank you so much to the panelists- Dr. Michele Matthews, Dr. Michael Angelini, Dr. Kam Capoccia, Dr. Todd Brown, and Mr. Dennis Lyons for sharing your expertise on this topic and leading an amazing discussion.

This event was done in collaboration with NCPA, ASHP, and APhA-ASP chapters at MCPHS Worcester, Northeastern, and Western New England university.

The event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the advisors and my Policy Committee of the APhA-ASP chapter at MCPHS Boston.

Finally, thank you to all the 130+ students, faculty, pharmacists, and the dean of pharmacy for attending this event. Your unwavering support motivates me and the chapter to bring such amazing events for you!
